Triglav National Park
Triglav National Park is located near the border with Italy and Austria, it is the only national park in Slovenia, and one of the oldest created in Europe (in 1924 the alpine protection park was created). The highest peak is the Triglav mountain that gives its name to the entire park (2,864 meters), holding the title of highest point in Slovenia. It covers practically all the Julian Alps in Slovenian territory, and gathers points of great natural, historical and faunal attraction.
